Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 14, 2026
LifeLedger helps users organize everyday deadlines, purchases, returns, subscriptions, bills, appointments, warranties, gift cards, renewals, and other reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what information LifeLedger collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information you provide
When you create a LifeLedger account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and account credentials. When you create or import a LifeLedger item, we may store information you choose to provide, such as an item name, company, amount, due date, reminder date, status, and notes.
2. Google and Gmail data
If you choose to connect Gmail, LifeLedger requests read-only access to Gmail through Google OAuth. This access is optional and is used only to help identify messages that may contain useful LifeLedger information, such as purchase receipts, return windows, subscription renewals, bills, appointment notices, warranties, credits, and important deadlines.
LifeLedger processes authorized Gmail messages to generate suggestions for your review. Suggestions are not added to your LifeLedger until you choose to import them. When you import a suggestion, LifeLedger may store the related reminder details, including limited information derived from the message such as the merchant or sender, relevant date, amount, category, and a short note or message snippet. LifeLedger also stores the OAuth credentials needed to maintain your Gmail connection.
LifeLedger does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not use Gmail data to build advertising profiles. LifeLedger's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate LifeLedger, authenticate users, maintain saved reminders and settings, generate Gmail-based suggestions you request, improve reliability and security, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support or legal requests.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help host or operate LifeLedger, only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the service, or as part of a business transfer where legally permitted.
5. Data storage and security
LifeLedger uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect account and application data. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
6. Your choices and controls
You can choose not to connect Gmail and still use LifeLedger's manual organization features. You can disconnect Gmail from the Gmail Import page, which stops future Gmail access by LifeLedger. You can also remove individual LifeLedger items from your ledger. For requests concerning account or stored-data deletion that are not available directly in the app, contact LifeLedger using the support contact listed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
7. Data retention
We retain account and LifeLedger data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Gmail-derived information is retained only when needed to provide the features described above, including when you choose to import a suggestion.
8. Children's privacy
LifeLedger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as LifeLedger changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, please use the LifeLedger support email shown on the Google OAuth consent screen.
